Rick,
I've herd that on the first A1000's there was a hardware problem
concerning noise in sampled sounds and that a modification was published in
A.C.
I've also read that hardware modification is possible to disable the
A1000's filters for sampling.
Is this true? If so, could you tell me how to get the
files/mags/info?
I also need the serial port pin assignments for the A2000/500.
Thanks, Roger
Where is Richard? I haven't seen him in a while. The short answer is that
there were two Amiga 1000 mods published in A.C. (3.2 and 3.3, I think) and
also one with pinout difference between the A1000 and A500/1000. The 1000
mods deal with sound OUTPUT not INPUT. The input filters, if any, are
contained in the sampler. The output filter is a lowpass filter that cuts
off all sound above 7K. One mod constructs a switchable filter like the
A500/2000, the other directly bypasses the filter. Hope that answers your
question.
