Supra REV D
2 messages in this thread
Dear Supra: I have contacted Micro R&D regarding problems I have had using
the Supra Ram 2000 board in the TOOLBUS made by them. In talking with Bob
Davis in their tech department…he said that he had talked with a STAN
from your….a your teck person who handles info on the supra ram boards
and I guess STAN said that a person who has an A500 will not get the Supram
2000 board to run correctly if it is a REVISION C…..a revision D is
needed to run with the A500. The chip in location IC 1 has to have a 54-1D
for a revision D board. Supposedly a person can send in the 54-1C chip to
Supra and Supra will send back a 54-1D chip. How does a person go about
this and where and or who is it sent to the attention of ??????? Thank you
Ron, if you'll EasyPlex your address to me, I'll see to it that you get the
current PAL for your RAM board. I'm not sure that this will take care of
your problem, though. The problem with most expoansion boxes for the A500
is that they don't correctly fabricate the DOE signal which exists on the
A2000 buss and which our boards use. Supra recently did a redesign of the
ToolBox for Expansion Technologies and that box will now support the
SupraRAM. I'm not familiar with the TOOLBUS, but I suspect that this may
be the real problem.
