Access! Problem
6 messages in this thread
Hi folks!
I need some help.
I'm having a problem with the Read command with Access!.
I can click on the option, and I get a file requester, but when I select a
file, the drive spins like it is searching for the file, but I don't get
anything.
Is there something that I am not doing, or something that I am missing?

Julia,
The read option is a seperate program and is included in the Access! files.
It should be placed either in the same directory as Access! or in the C
directory. I keep it in the C directory because I use it even when not
using Access! Hope this clears up the difficulty…if not maybe someone
else has some ideas.

Mel,
I've tried it in both, and it still hasn't worked.
I was wondering if the file arp.library had something to do with it, as it
is mentioned somewhere in the docs in relation to rd, but even fiddling
with moving that around hasn't helped.

I'll have to look up my docs and double check, Julia. Maybe someone else
will jump in with the answer while I search.

Julia,
arp.library should be in your libs: directory, but, as near as I can
tell, has no relation to rd. I deleted arp.library out and rd worked just
fine. Of course, I'm using version 1.42 or Access!, so that might be a
factor.

BB, that's it. The _old_ version of RD used the arp.library. The subject
came up when Keith (Ariel?) and Khalid were discussing his Bypass_Arp
Program that goes with his f-r, and Keith (Ariel?) tolded him that the
filerequester on RD didn't use arp's anymore. –Eet–
