I am trying to locate the Modula2 source code for the DHRYSTONE Benchmarks. Anybody help me locate? Thanks, Dan Nimtz

Dan, In the September 1988 issue of DDJ (#143) Ken Porter benchmarked some Modula-2 compilers with dhrystone, sieve, fib, acker, fpmath, qsort, shsort, cortn, ncortn benchmarks. The function of the benchmarks is mention in Table 3 on page 69. On page 72, Ken mentions donating the code for the benchmarks to the public domain. I don't know if he ever did, but will send him a note and find out. I will post the results here. Jason Hansen

Kent Porter is, tragically, only with us in spirit these days.

I am sorry to hear that. Do you happen to know who would be familiar with his September 1988 benchmarking of Modula-2 compilers? I am still looking for the source for Dhrystone. Thanks, jason
