Well, Its sounds like Bruce's experience is similar to ours. We have a
L-100/RIP 1 and recently purchased a CG9400 with the 9400 MAX RIP and have
never been happier. Some people are under the misconception that this is an
interpreter RIP, but it's a true Adobe RIP outputting Adobe PostScript. We,
too, are very happy with our decision to go with Agfa Compugraphic and are
pleased with the output of our new machine. Their 1200 D.P.I. looks BETTER
than the old L-100's 1270. We keep the 100 around, but rarely use it these
days…in fact we wouldn'tmind selling it as it just sits there collecting
back issues of Personal Publishing while the Compugraphic is busy humming
away ripping everything we send it.
John,
Thanks for the vote of confidence. My CG rep left here a few hours ago
with our order for a 9400ps and MaxRIP.
