I just finished a fantastic book and wanted to pass the info along. It's called The Cuckoo's Egg by Clifford Stoll, and it's the true story about how a Berkeley astrophysicist stalked and found the Hannover Hacker who was breaking into military computers all over the world. It's hardback, but I don't regret buying it even so. Highly recommended! Dianne

Dianne, Cliff Stoll is one of the most entertaining speakers I've ever had the privilege of hearing. He gave a talk at one of user group meetings (in 1981, I think, in Houston). It was about the NCAR graphics software that he had ported to our computers. He was hilarious. He even had our (then) stodgy CEO rolling in the aisles! I'll look out for that book. Dave

What an interesting story, Dave. His CIS account number is in the beginning of the book, so I Emailed him a standing ovation as soon as I finished it. I imagine he hasn't changed much since he spoke to your group–he seems to be eternally tied to the counterculture, which makes him refreshing and entertaining to read. Dianne
