SCalc HELP
1 messages in this thread
I'm new to the message board and am not sure where to put this. Hope you
can help. Also hope it's not too long.
I'm hoping someone out there can help. I recently downloaded Dave
Haynie's version of SCalc V1.0. It looks like just what I need, not too
big or complicated, but perfect for my needs.
Unfortunately, the file posted to CIS contains only the executable, an
icon and a README file. The README seems to imply that a doc file and the
source code were originally bundled with the package on UseNet.
Since I'm not familiar with this software I'm having some problems. I've
been able to hack around with it enough to make it useable, a lot of it is
intuitive, but some things have me stumped.
1) When using the "/" region commands what format are the "string range"
parameters supposed to be in ?
2) Can the sheet be put or written by region ? Some of the sheets I'm
using need more than 132 columns, what an editing mess !!!
3) Is there a way to default to data entry, or do you have to hit "=" to
enter each cell's value ? Also is there a default cursor movement, that
is, can you set things up so that the cursor moves right or down one cell
after each entry ?
I really have no idea what other useful features I might be missing. If
someone knows how to get ahold of a doc file, or a book that describes this
program, or could tell me if the command structure of some other documented
spreadsheet is similar enough to help me hack I'd be glad to hear from you.
Thanks Roger.
