Postscript fonts
Message #5328
John, You could try looking in the MacPro forum for a shareware laser font which in almost every case will be a Fontographer generated font. As I stated in my previous message the font construction data for this type of font is in the Data fork of the file which…
Thanks for the kudos, Did you know about the system variable COFF_BREAK? Grin> It works in increments of seconds like SET COFF_BREAK=60 Sets it for one minute! 300 = 5 mins and so on. And if you believe that…. But seriously, thanks and I will pass your comments on to…
Speedy AutoSketch
Message #22095
I've been using AutoSketch for several months now (Standard Version). I finally dug very deep in my walet, bought a '287 and upgraded. My complements to AutoDesk on the Speed Enhanced Version of AutoSketch! I now feel like I've got a real workhorse. I only have one complaint — I'll…

At this time the only way to do filled areas is the method you described. It is on the wishlist to have wide lines and fill/hatch abilities. Jamie

FILL USING AUTOSKETCH
Message #22040
In AutoSketch, to fill an area you must use multiple lines, arcs, etc. which are drawn or copied. The Standard version of AutoCAD has solid fill capabilities, and the "full" version (AutoCAD with ADE 3) has crosshatching pattern fill. =SM=
#Autosketch & VGA
Message #22031
Hi! I have Autosketch Enhanced, and have recently purchased a Paradise VGA+ board. I was wondering if you folks have developed, or are planning to develop, a VGA driver for PS/2 or 100% compatible VGA boards. Would be really nice to have the extra resolution…..Also, an old question from me:…
Sorry, but no, I can't get that information for you. I am afraid we don't offer "patching" maps for our programs. Jamie
#AutoSketch Plot Box
Message #22003
Could you tell me where in AutoSketch's code the tables are stored that tell AutoSketch the size limitations for the plot box (based on configured plotter)? If I could patch it there, I wouldn't have to always tell AutoSketch that it's OK that my plot box is "larger than the…
Frank, type in the desired paper size in the boxes provided in the Plot Area Dialogue Box. The program may give you a warning that the paper size is exceeded, but select "OK" (consider yourself warned) and it should plot the specified size. =SM=

Plotting w/Autosketch
Message #21384
Thanks to both you and Steve for the help with my Autosketch plotter problem, i.e. Autosketch bombing out in the middle of a plot. I'm using an HP 7470 single pen plotter. I checked the cable and it's configured properly. The MODE command that was being used was: MODE COM1:12,7,E,1…

AutoSketch ?/wishes
Message #21309
Dear Duff, Thanks! Could you make that two votes for each wish? Both of us would love to see these enhancements … in the meantime, I read Jamie's reply and will start to get creative in my technique soon … THanks — Melanie
Jamie — Thanks! A lot of these techniques you mentioned are neato and in some distant way, it may have occurred to us but we're just a bunch of lazy people who'd rather push a mouse than use a pencil… THanks again! — Melanie

Well, like Duff said your list is pretty much future feature wishes, but there are ways to get some of these effects now. 1) You were on the right track with the pen width idea. The trick we have used is to take all the lines you want heavier, and make…
