Tom, Since ROMANT is a triplex, or triple stroke font, every letter gets three passes from the pen. Try switching to ROMANS, this is a simplex font that only makes one pass per letter. Using a heavier pen should give you the clarity that you need. The more text you…
Bill – I think Tom was referring to the amount of memory that a drawing file consumes when it is loaded into the editor. The complexity of the fonts used will have an effect on that. -TonyT.

Richard – not that I know of. There is a software emulator in Lib 5 "Hrdware/ Drvrs/ADI" in a file called EM87.ZIP, but according to the description, it only works with 9 and 10, not with 11. Dave

WCEDIT didn't all that great a write-up in PC Magazine recently. Something about a steep learning curve.
I've used PCWRITE (and the LITE version) to edit ACAD menus and .lsps. $9.00 at the $3.00 Software outlets.

Brian, If you are using R11 of AutoCAD, why would you want to shell into a 16 bit editor? I would suggest you use WCEDIT which DOES NOT shell! It is 32 bit and very fast. It is specifically designed for AutoCAD. If your interested, let me know. Walt
