< "Gemuetlich" simply means "comfortable". > Not quite. Gemuetlich could mean "cosy" (atmosphere), "comfortable" (place) or even "pleasant" or "easy to get along with" (person). I tend to agree that it's difficult to translate exactly. David.

Brian, Two problems….first is that this is the Autodesk Software forum, not the Autodesk AutoCAD forum (GO ACAD to get to the right forum). Secondly the AutoCAD forum has just gone through a reorganization and the new dealer's section is 16….not 15 and the file DGRDWG.ZIP is in there.
AAPro 1.3 Message #97499
Hi, I just bought AAPro 1.3 and found that the fonts are unusable. Some other fonts (e.g. Linotype's Gil) cause the system to crash or are incorrectly read in. For my purposes (we do lots of titling for presentations, etc.) the program is unusable. Any tips? The other thing I…

"Gemuetlich" simply means "comfortable". Of course, German coloquial usage of the word can differ slightly from American, but it would always be translatable, and anyone with a little analoguous logic could figure out what was being said. John Tissavary (LUNA cie)

Dave, > Sure there are people who have gotten 3ds to run in windows. 3DS under windows ceases to be a production tool (too slow). Also, pg 95 of the advanced users guide, outlines the process and pg 98 outlines the restrictions of using 3ds3 under windows. After reviewing this…

Yes, those are the books I'm thinking of, along with the obligatory chapters on DXF in most other AutoCAD books. And I've been meaning to get a copy of the Lexicon, too. I ordered your DXF book directly from the publisher, by FAX. I included my VISA credit card number.…

But there are several US companies who already publish DXF-ish books that are not as good as yours! I wish you'd had better luck. Meanwhile, I'll continue to pencil in the English versions of German words I've figured out on my own. I'm of German extraction, among others, and I…

#96164 Sell me 3DS R3 Message #96293
From: Yost Group Autodesk Software Forum · Customer Service April 9, 1994 11:24 AM
Tom, You can call 800/879-4233 to get the name and number of an authorized multimedia dealer nearest you. (That is, if no one else jumps in with a reply.) – Jack
#Sell me 3DS R3 Message #96164
Hello 3DS Dealers, I'm located in Orlando, FL and I need to purchase 3DS from you immediately. Please reply with contact information via CIS mail. Thanks, Tom
As has been mentioned, you need media, manuals and hardware lock. I'd be happy to verify the 3DS serial number as valid and help with the transfer of license if you wish. Via mail, not forum, please. Regards, Jeff Eisel
Lance, As long as they have original disks, manuals and licence agreement, your copy will be totaly legal and upgradable. You will need to transfer the licence into your name. Call your Multimedia dealer or Custumer Service at 707-794-1450 to find out about transferrring your licence. -Brian
Where are you located? In the US, 3DS costs $2,995 or something like that (@ $3K). If the software was legally obtained, and includes the docs, hardware lock, and you get a transfer of ownership (through an Adesk Multimedia dealer), then it's 100% "legal". If you're in Europe, I know…

I've had factory distribution disks do all sorts of caca, like not install, be corrupt, even give me Michelangelo Virus! IMHO, floppies really suck, and software of this size must come on CD-ROM. John Tissavary
