Yes you're right. I just used a 50mm lense back then, but now I would probably set the lenses for 80 degrees. I don't know how significant this is but the 50mm lenses worked ok.

I used that deck for my demo-tape but I agree with Kevin that it's probably not up to snuff for broadcast work. I used it for cable commercials, too, where 3/4" SP is considered standard.
I think it could go both ways, there. Frequently the client knows exactly what they want and it's just a matter of deciding how long it will take you to do and then multiplying that by your hourly rate to come up with a bid. Or saying that's 10 seconds…
