VDO:trials

No, I had never tried VD0 w/ the spirit board. I did try the old version be4 I got the board (lack of memory…wasnt worth using). The RAD, when I use it, gets stomped probably 10-15% of the time. (Usually the serious crashes…ya know, the ones where NOTHING happens) Perry,…
Steve, What is a "hypercard-like" program? What is Cando? Alan
Ask and you shall recieve. Grin, thanks.
Don, Do you know where I can get a C program that outputs itself? (take the question loosely, please. The details don't really matter.)

Rick, If you can make a DMA autoboot controller w/ a KS rom socket for the 1000 at a decent price, I'd buy when I got my HD.

I have just finished level 10 and downloaded the maps and have exactly the same (or very close to it) maps as they did. This leads me to wonder: Do I need all these coins I have been lugging around? Is there a RA key on 10 and I missed…

AMIC 5.6

Its a slick term program. Give it a whirl. Alan
Nope! Just a simple assign for my ram:c stuff. Basicly with a 512k machine I just load the basics to ram and avoid running programs that would eat ram or scatter things. I haven't messed with it since, but thinking about it, I would wager the MoreRows screen adjustment might…
Whoa…frags?? I rebooted 3 times so there couldn't be a lack of free mem…. could there? I have pieced the diffs between the last time I used Grabbit and this time and it was the addition of MoreRows to the config and Run to Ram:. Alan
Grabbit
Message #83899
I tried to engage Grabbit tonight and was told it couldn't find printer.device by Grabbit. I looked in sys:devs and there it was. I even printed off something and it loaded fine then. I did get it to work by using my original WB copy, tho. So…has anyone encountered this…

Hey, people still tailgate even when they know every day over 300 tailgating rear-endings occur to help bolster the cost of insurance. Humans can be very clever, but never ever accuse us of being intelligent. Fuming Single Male
Larry, I can't seem to remember where the linenoise filter here on CIS is at. Can you remember? Thanks, Alan

Grin….its wise to implant the lower prices in their heads before hand. I do not, however, expect to see any quite that low. Toooo bad.

My request was to those trading there A1000's in for A2000's that have memory expanders designed only for the A1000. Rather than trade the Insider, for example, in to the dealer for, say, $50, why not offer the same insiders to those here in the forum without Insiders for $50.…

Before jumping on a trade-in that includes A1000 extras, like memory, please consider your associates and friends in the forum. Not everyone here has everything and who says the dealers have to take a slice of all the action? Thanks! Hope ya'll give us a chance!

Pin configs
Message #72338
On the Amiga, true. But who says the modem will spend its remaining life on an Amiga and never be swapped around various machines? On the Amiga you do not need pin 12, true. But its only 1 wire and it doesn't hurt to have it wired, so why create…
Brian, could you be more specific about what DesignText does than the ad states, please? I'd ask in a private msg, but they are disabled here. I need a good, efficient, (and painfree to boot-up) WP. Thanks, Alan

Does anyone own/use/tried WordPerfect? It sounds 'too good to be true' in the ads and I would like to hear what others have to say. Personal opinions count (for a change, grin) ! Thanks in advance, Alan

#Kyocera
Message #71198
Kyocera makes *quality* amps, pre-amps, tuners, mixers, expanders, and recievers. Unfortunately, their one-of-the-worlds-best status also carries over into their price. So I went with NAD, also one of the worlds best. As far as modems go, I don't know. But the company does have a reputation to maintain, so I…
