#142 Fantasy Game Debate Message #150
From: Ken Hill AmigaArts Forum · Games July 14, 1988 7:39 AM
Henry, We have all heard you flog poor Bard's Tale. Give it up. Some of *like* mindless adventure games like that!! Anyhow, I heard from a good source that DungeonMaster might be appearing in a few (i.e. three or so) weeks. Don't hold your breath but it *might* be the…

Don, I have access to a cable which breaks out the ST audio to an RCA plug which can plug into the AMI monitor. Sounds like I am getting close to what I need. Thanks a bunch for your help… Ken

Don, I am looking at the pin outs for the ST and everything seems to be here except for Digital Intensity and Composite Sync. Any ideas what they could be on an ST? The ST pinouts call something "General Purpose Output" and there are two Audio lines. Your help would…

Hey gang, This is probably wishful thinking but …. can the Amiga 1000 monitor work with EGA for the PC? It, of course, would be real nice if it would considering that it would save me about $600 for a new monitor. Anybody out there tried this? Ken
Questions Message #74344

Jeff, Two questions: I have seen some talk here about Lords of Conquest. I wasn't aware of an Amiga version of this very fine game. I am assuming that they are talking about it on another machine…correct? (Any chance of a conversion for the Ami?) The next is just when…

Hi Gang, OK…I just have to ask some questions. First, what good are the statues and/or mirrors? What about the thrones? Does washing in a fountain ever do any good? And last but not least, what is good against dragons??? Thanks Ken

Paul, Jeff J. (someone from EA) hangs around here and his last word was towards the end of June. I know that is a while but is it any confort at all to know that many of us are waiting just as anxiously? Ken

Don, Brain 6 is current but it only adds one program (Pro Midi version something or another) to the list so it is hardly a major upgrade. Ken

Don, Don't sweat not being able to get Brain6…it only adds one program (Pro Midi something or another) to the list of Brain5. Brain5 is worth the money and the hassle…it will take your current version up to 1.0C. The only other complaint (in addtion to the rest of yours),…

Don, I have found that the reaction that you got from Discovery is very similar to many responses to I have received. They seem dumbfounded that anyone would want anything for FREE….? Ken

Wally, Yep…it is stiff (but worth it) $59.95 list (about what Gridiron costs). Will discount down to around $45. Also, look for a few fantasy games and Roadwar 2000. Should be nice to see what they do…could we dare hope for their Civil War games for the Amiga??? Ken

Ron, I haven't tried it that much but I do know that it will copy…it didn't sound too bad when it booted, so I assume that it was de-protected. Of course, I will play from the backup and leave the original alone… Ken

Nevin, I have exactly the same modem as you (SmartTeam) and I have had no problems…try using AT&T for long distance instead of some other company. Sounds like a dirty line… Ken

Nevin, I am not sure…I haven't received my copy yet from MicroProse. But I would suspect that MII deprotects it so the stress on the drive would be less. Ken
