Ben, Thanks for the tip. I'll check them out, Toshiba's are known to be good laptops! Though the last time I looked at them, a small item annoyed me – the location of the CNTRL & ALT keys on the keyboard were reversed. To a touch-typist as myself, I rarely…
I don't think so, as the laptop I want costs $4700. (486, active-matrix color, etc). If you are still interested in the Amiga system, give me an offer and I'll either accept, decline, or counter-offer. How does that sound?

Very wierd indeed. CLIP jumper, will have to play with that one! I'll let you know what happens!
I've played with the two pots on the FFV2 board, none of which made much of a difference. I've also played with the software, which did not help at all either. I'm definatley interested in what you find out with your scope! Thanks, Joe
Thanks for the input. Sounds like we have a similar problem, have you attempted to put a different VGA monitor to your FFV2? I've connected a different monitor to it, and it works. This then suggests that the board is fine. I'm concerned though that the FFV2 board does not…
ICD Flicker Free Video2
Message #101135
I have a Flicker Free Video 2, and a Magnavox SVGA monitor. I can not get the two to work. The Magnavox displays a slanted image (to the right), and it continually scrolls left to right. I've tried various cables, and am at wits end here. Does anyone know what…

Amiga 500, 1.3 ROMs, 3.5" internal, 140 mb external hard drive, 200 watt power supply, 1 meg of Fast RAM, Amiga 1084 monitor, mouse, and system software. Originally asking $490, dropping down to $300.00!! Send EMAIL or call me at (202) 637-5941.
Steve, There are a number of ways to get flicker-free video out of an Amiga 500. One way to is purchase a VGA-type monitor, and the 2.04 ROMS, and the Enhanced Chip Set (ECS) Denise, and Agnus. This will let you connect the 31.5khz VGA-type monitor to the Amiga and…
How much would you part for the 030 board?
A500 w/ 140mb hd fr SALE
Message #100294
A500, 1.3 ROMs, internal 3.5" disk drive, 1084 monitor, mouse, keyboard, and external 140mb hard drive utilizing RLL-type controller card system. 1 meg of Fast RAM, Fatter agnus chip. Asking $490.00, please leave EMAIL or call at (202) 637-5941.
This still may be what I need. When you say a chip extender to pick the cable out of the way , do you mean something that plugged into the Denise socket and moved the chip socket away enough to plug the DEB2000 into it?
Michael, Was that the DEB2000 board, or something else? When I called Microway up regarding that the only thing they had was the DEB2000 which costs $99 and extends the Denise into a slot.

#Denise Extender?
Message #99342
I purchased a Flicker Free Video 2, and currently have a CSA MMR in my A2000. The two board conflict in space, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good source for hardware that I could use to engineer a Denise extension cable? (ie: A socket that plugs…
Richard, I purchased one (FFV 2), and it did not work at all. I just returned it to ICD today, and expect a repair/replacement within two-three weeks. I'll let you know what happens. What kind of symptoms did your unit display?
I bought my copy at Egghead software store for $68.00, and am loving it.
Ben, Can you give me any info on Emplant for the US? Phone numbers, etc?
Dave, Tell me more about your 486 bridgeboard! How much does it cost, and what exactly do I get?

ICD Flicker Free Video
Message #98250
I'm interested in finding out more details about ICD's flicker free video. If anyone has info, and a phone number for ICD I'd appreciate the info. Thanks!
Is that an ICD Flicker Free II ? Or not? What is the difference, if you know.
I have an ALF MFM/RLL hd controller card for my A500 that I am no longer using. I'm not sure how it will work on a 1000 or 2000 though.
You mentioned support for other products, do you care to elaborate on what other platforms you are now supporting?
I read somewhere else that Sony is working on a NT driver for the CDU31a.
I thought there was a beta OS/2 CDU-31A driver avaialble here for download.
#IP for Amiga
Message #55480
I was wondering, is there any sort of special price arrangement for purchase of IP for Amiga for current HAM-E owners? (To purchase the non HAME version that is).
Check out the HP Peripherals forum here by typing GO HPPER I think I saw an Amiga driver in their libraries.
I thought it was supposed to ship the 15th of this month, but apparently it did not. What happened to the dealers that stated online that they already had copies?
How about $55 for the FV2?
I think your ealier message scrolled off, how much are you selling the FV2 for? What resolution does it give me, and how many colors? What kind of monitor can I use with it?
What exactly is the Flicker Free Video 2? Is that something specifically for the 2000? Will it work on a 500?
Is the current Amiga version of Superbase file level compatible with the Superbase V2.0 on the Windows platform?

Can you give me a phone number for Shreve Systems, I'm desperately trying to find Mac ROMs. Thanks!
Unless you already have a Bridgeboard and need the faster CPU.
Tell me more about the CBM 2386. I have a 2000 with the 286 Bridgeboard currently and would love to upgrade to the 386SX version. But the $199 sounds too low, is that a complete Bridgeboard that I can replace my 286 one with? Will it work with my IBM…
What's the turn-around time for filling all your Imagine PC orders?
Have you thought of subscribing to the way CIS handles software registration? Type GO SWREG ( I think that is what it is) to check it out. What happens is CIS bills the users CIS account, and sends you the money. Since CIS is an international company perhaps it has…
How much is the Win Morph product for the IBM? Are there any special deals for existing HAM-E owners? (Always looking for them deals!). Joe
Well, then — I checked out the Graphdev forum, downloaded your WinMorph program and fell in love. Is it currently in release form for the IBM? Kudos for moving into the Windows marketplace, I think that is a smart financial move for Black Belt systems. I know alot of folks…
Ben, I'm interested in hearing more of your products for Windows, if I hear correct. Is the Graphdev the right place for this? Joe
Tim, The Sony CD31a that comes with the Mediavision Fusion CD16 kit uses a special version of the PAS-16 that has a Sony proprietary interface built into it instead of the SCSI interface. Joe
I have a Sony 31a CD-ROM, bought through Gateway. It utilizes a proprietary interface card (no interupt), and as far as I know not available in SCSI format. I also have a PAS-16 which has a SCSI interface on it, and it does not interfere with my IDE controller. I…
Imagine for IBM
Message #52178
Rick, Lack of Windows support may not hurt Imagine PC sales (I'll still buy it) but it can only increase sales if you had a Windows version. I think, even though you are not intrucing it for Windows originally that Impulse reconsider Windows for future releases. AutoCad just released their…
If Impulse is as dedicated to the Amiga market place as I believe they are, development for the IBM version will lead to potentially higher profit margin, and therefore more money for R&D, and hopefully some of the profit from the IBM version will bankroll some Amiga development work.
