I've worked with Amapi.I've found 4D Vision's Sculptor IPAS to be a better N.U.R.B.S modeler. Mike White [SDP]

#196394 3DS + Pentium Message #196421
No 3D Studio is not optimized for a Pentium. 3D MAX is and wont be released tell the Autodesk's first quarter next year. 3D Studio version 4 has been optimized for a 486 and version 3,2,1 for a 386. One advantage if your running a computer with a ZIFF socket…
#195806 3D Stereo Grapic anim Message #195906
Black Box has an *.kxp and *.ixp that will do this. It does two diferent kinds of stereoscopic, Crystal Eya's, and Cyber Vision. Mike White [SDP]
No problem any time. Mike
I quite sure since we compile our IPAS with Watcom C++ 32 bit. What gives it away is that you have to use Pharlap too tell 3D Studio how too handle swap, memory , etc.. Yes the DOS extender is exactly it. 3D Studio can access more then a GIG…
Your welcome. Check out the file in the Intel forum listing what machines a compatible. You also can call Intel's tech support. Their phone number for the over drive support is 800-899-4508. Mike
> Hello Kevin I have a Hint-3/486WB. I purchased it for Comtrade here in Calif about a 2 years ago. It's call the EISA Dream machine. I checked out FRY's yesterday and they weren't selling it any more. Mike
I doesn't do any damage too try if you have the right mother board. Mike
Yes I've heard of certain problems like that, but I heard it was with the MT28 chip this one released in Sept. is a new one. If this a problem with the new over drive chip I would like too know. Thanks. Mike
Price is around 299.00 and you can get is at any Comp U.S.A. and FRY's. Too check system requirements you can go Intel on Cserve and find compatibility for certain P.C's . Look in the overdrive library. If you have a ZIFF socket it will work. Meaning another row of…
#195205 mobius strip Message #195239
I'm not too sure I'll check on that and get back to you. I really don't think so. Mike
I have a EISA VLB with a ZIFF socket. It was a DX2 66 Now its a 83 megahertz pentium. If you have the ZIFF socket you need to get the Over Drive chip a you'll double you speed! Its a Intel Over Drive chip part number is BOXPODP5V83. Mike
> No it's still a 486 running at 83 Megahertz Pentium. 3D Studio release 4 is optimized for 486's and since I'm still running 486 mother board it's going too take advantage of the speed. Mike

I have MeshMath and I can make an image for. Mike White [SDP]
Just put in my Pentium over drive chip in and I'm on cloud nine. What a difference it made in 3D Studio. An animation that was taken 20 min.. a frame now is taken 10 min. 3D Studio takes advantage of the processor since it's still a 486 but a…

Yes tmaker sxp is the routine your speaking of. Yes it will do textures with a POV-RAY like in-put. One nice thing is you have control over the Turbulence and Noise separately. Unlike POV-RAY's ascii based textures only allow functions on the Turbulence with Dnoise, and the Dnoise really has…

It seems to be this way for me too Surge. I find it they want what you have, but don't want to pay for it. Like wise we have been doing this IPAS programming since 1991 and barely sold 200 sets. Especially since our sets have drooped in price too…

Correct me if I'm wrong ,but SXP's do not benefit from the vibrant drivers. SO it wouldn't make a difference. Mike White [SDP]

Yes it came out as Imagine Fader. If you have any problems let me know I get it right to you. I think Scot wont have any problem including them in future sales. I thought they were.
Hello Ernie. I you didn't receive Fader ask Scot and he should give it to you. One problem with fader it will not work with Z-buffer in version 4. You need too turn Z-buffer off in the set file. If you have any problems getting it I'll E-mail it to…
I guess it means not your normal way of using B-splines. I was talking to Keith and he had mentioned the there will be deformation over time. Meaning it will be like Hash's animation capabilities. The user can animate a character as a solid NURBS mesh over time. Mike
Sculptor is a very straight forward NURBS modeler and it's very easy to use. Mike
