I will confirm that. I've used it very successfully on NT 3.51, although I haven't stressed it as much as I do on Win95. John
#193195 AniStudio Tutorial Message #193383
I just had a chance to try the new version and it works fine now on my machine. I'm running the released Win95 on an Intel P-90/PCI machine with ATI 64-bit graphics card. John

I just got my copy, so I'll be able to give it a try. However, since my first attempt was on the final beta version I suspect its going to behave the same way. I'm guessing its a video problem–what kind of video card do you have? John
#192500 AniStudio Tutorial Message #192586
They sent me mail and told me that this particular excercise in the tutorial is sensitive to the "source" location of the ink. I believe the suggestion was to make the initial point "about an inch" below the divers feet. Clearly they are working at a different resolution than I…

I'm seeing the same problem with the software in a beta version, but I suspect I'm not supposed to talk about it. John
#170896 Win95 Final Beta Message #171340
I'm interested in this too, since my Animator Studio is on the way and I'm running Win95… There's a file in the Win95pre forum called "ole.exe" that is described as a fix for applications that get an error trying to paste an OLE object from a 16-bit application with "special…
#Replacement Disks? Message #170900
My Animation Support Library disks have become unreadible. I think I have all the bits on disk, but I'd like to have the originals. What's the procedure for getting replacements?–I'm more than willing to mail in the current disks. Thanks.
I just ordered my Animator Studio upgrade earlier in the week. Last night I was reading InfoWeek and their "Beta First Look" of Animator Studio claims that it requires a minimum of 32MB of RAM (and is sluggish even with that). I reread the press release and it says "8MB…

I remember somebody posting a message (either here or in the e-mail group) that they were able to import a .dxf file for FontStudio3D via dxf2hsh. I just tried this with Sculpt 2.07 and FontStudio3D 1.32 and I got the (altogether common) "Trouble Importing .dxf Segment!". Could the person who…

Sorry, I have no idea at this point–it's been a long time since I looked for a used book. My (semi-retired) folks decided this sounded like a challenge and they're the ones that actually went to the bookstore(s) (in the Colorado Springs area). We're headed out for a visit so…

A word of warning on the Disney book. The first contact with a used book dealer we learned that the book is well known and hard to come by. He said he'd want $200 for it.

Yup. This month's issue came this week and it's about "The Mask".

Thanks. Ordered it today. For anyone else that needs the contact information, the book can be obtained from St. Martin's Press at 800-288-2131. The ISBN number is 0-312-05052-6. It's $13.95. Finally found the Disney book in the online books in print (eek–$2 per transaction). It is OUT OF PRINT so…

Based on your discussion I went looking for a book "Disney Animation: The Illusion of Life." The closest the bookstore could find is "The Illusion of Life: Essays on Animation." (ISBN 0-243-31373-2) from Indiana University Press. Is that the same book or is the Disney book out of print? An…

Gee wiz–not even the model? The instruction video just uses the model and shows how to work with the various channels and animate it. Just the hammer model would be a big help.

Hi, I've been watching the instructional video tapes and I just viewed the animation primer that uses a bouncing hammer as an example. Any chance of getting the data files for this example? Don't see them on the kit, here, or AOL.
I loaded Animator on a laptop to take with me on vacation. The laptop is capable of 640×480 resolution, but I can't seem to figure out anyway to make it happen. It doesn't come with any VESA drivers and the ones supplied on the 1.3 kit all hang the system…
.pif for Animator Message #54288
I keep seeing messages that the new Animator is "much more friendly to Windows," but I can't find a .pif file in any of my directories or in the forum libraries. Am I on my own here?
#37939 #Animator Message #38038
I assume you did the same thing I did–buy it from Surplus Software. I think I got my money's worth ($50 is about right for this program). I called the local dealer and they told me I could upgrade to Animator Pro for $300+–hardly worth it if the only difference…
