In big issue is system configuration. With the Yamaha you will need a system that can feed the data at 4X in to a 640K buffer. With the Kodak you start with a 2MB buffer can expand to 32MB. So price is not just recorder price.>>> Actually the CDR 100…

Since you can see through any CD, gold or aluminum, if the label doesn't obscure it, that's an interesting test.
Jeff, I had not tested it yet because we have no use for it. I really want something that will let me chain CDR 100's together. I know how much you love that drive 🙂 A few 100's are cheaper than the PCD 600 though I like the transporter! Georges

Two things: I was told by a Plasmon sales person that Toast supported writing to multiple Plasmons at onec… it doesn't. There is a software only solution by 4B technologies that does work with the philips drives. Georges CD Archive, Inc. http://www.cdarchive.com
I think one thing that has done this industry no good is people in PC and Windows magazine ect writing on what should be done to make good CDs. These are writers not people in the "know" Talk to the One off Shops or CD Solutions or us (CD Archive)…

The new one that I have heard is that if you hold the disc up to light and can see through it the disc is no good. Aren't rummors fun? On the whole scheme of things the people we know who use the most discs (JPL) Use cyanine (Ricoh) discs…

Yes but as I am sure that you know to officially get the Win 95 Logo you need to run under NT. That is why I ask! G'
Why does V3.0 of EZCD say that it supports Windows 95 if it doesn't run under NT… ?? Cheers, Georges
…… or you could buy a new recorder for around $2000US and do away with the two SCSI cards ect ect ect.. like the Philips, Plasmon and Kodak. They all are very reliable and have giant buffers… saving a lot of money in bad discs and almost more importantly headaches.…

I have yet to see software that can make a Hybrid disc under Windows. Easy CD Pro MM will make HFS discs but this feature is not easy to use IMHO. I don't see why the next version of software won't be able to do it. IF it is done…
