Joan, I've recently found the still compressed file to be useful as a backup for the original. I've kept them on a separate disk to keep from taking up all the space on my tiny little hard drive. On the other hand, most of the really useful files you'll be…
I've only ordered from Devware once but got everything I ordered at the price they advertised it. My experience with them was AOK. Sorry to hear if yours didn't go so well. Sean
Jim…i get them at a couple of place in Stillwater, downtown at Caravan Books and also at Hastings, a chain oiutlet. I complained to Hastings about it one time and they said they'd get some and have. Sean

Help, I've accidentally deleted Autopilot from the hard drive. (oops). Trouble is, I just registered it last week, and had only begun using it recently. Can I get a new registered copy? I do still have the compressed version on a disk. Any help appreciated, Sean–not on AutoPilot
Hey, I'm in Oklahoma, and I can usually find Amazing Computing right next to AmigaWorld on the Bookstore shelves. That is, when they haven't all been snatched up. Unfortunately for AC…most of their advertisers are identical to AW's, running exactly the same ad. I seriously doubt it will cause much…
Mark, I think Tenex is still in business but out of mailorder. Your best bet on a 2000 is to buy one already outfitted as you describe from somebody advertising here in the classifieds of this forum. Otherwise, figure to outfit it yourself. The latest version of Kickstart and Workbench…
I'll go $30.00 plus shipping.
I'll call you first thing in the morning, about 8:00AM CST. Thanks! Sean–Still learning AutoPilot….
I'll take the a2091 card if it's still available. please let me know asap, I'm getting ready tok order one of these. Thanks, Sean Kelly–via AutoPilot….finally.
Thanks Betty, I got it!
Thanks Keith, I did find it some time after I posted the message. I haven't had time to decompress it yet but plan to try it out soon. I could not however get filefinder to find it for me. I just checked the various libraries here till I found it.

Help! I've been trying to find Autopilot and can't. I found it once before and would like to give it a try. I checked library 5 where I thought it would obviously be…but the No Files Found message just keeps popping up. Where'd you hide it?
Steve, I'd be willing to help out if my setup will meet your needs. It would be a bit educational for me because I'm trying to learn about file conversions anyway. The problem may be my present setup, an A1000 with 2megs. I also have a slow modem (1200) so…
If you're going to be making money at it, you might want to look into a used commercial camera. You can sometimes pick one up used for the same price as a good Hi 8 rig, and the quality is going to be a lot better than most everything on…
LZH refers to the compression scheme. You'll have to decompress the file before you can view it. There are several decompression programs here on C-serve but I don't know beans about IBM compatibles so which one you need to use will have to come from somebody else. best regards, Sean
I'm familiar with what the rejuvenator does…there just don't seem to be any more out there. Also, 2.04 OS doesn't require FastMemFirst, I believe I read in the manual that it's written into the OS. If I'm wrong, let me know. If I had it, I'd run it. Thanks for…
Gary, thanx for jumping in. I've not heard of any such problems with the Insider II or the way the system accesses it. I contacted DKB via E-mail recently and they never mentioned anything of that sort. I'm having trouble finding people who have a setup like mine. It seems…
#A1000 upgrade help

HELP! I have an A1000 I'm attempting to upgrade. I recently added an In- sider II and a Kwikstart II. Everything seemed to work fine under OS 1.3 but when I tried to make the move to 2.04 I started having problems with a number of programs I didn't have…
A1000/2.04
Message #41788
Help! I have an A1000 problem I'm wondering if somebody might help solve. I've upgraded recently from 1.3 to 2.04 OS. At the time I installed the 1.3, I also had installed a DKB Kwikstart and DKB Insider II with an ad- ditional 1.5 meg fast ram. All worked fine…
A1000 help-Please!
Message #41724
Help ! I'm attempting to upgrade my A1000 to 2.04 OS but have hit a snag. The 1000 was purchased used with 512K, and I've since added a DKB Insider II and Kwikstart II to bring the memory up to 2 megs. My first step to 1.3 OS went very…
You're right, that's it. Most of what I can recall from the magazine made it seem like it would take quite a bit more computer knowledge than one has to have these days. Most of the applications were written by the computer owner! Glad I don't have to do that.…
Way to go Steve. It's still all under the "rumor" umbrella but it would seem to be one of the more reliable things we've seen and certainly ends a bit of a drought. Keep your ears to the ground. BTW, I was going over some ancient Amiga magazines and saw…
Ken, I was just like you about a year and a half ago, with a stock Amiga 1000. Without an upgrade it will be difficult to run anything current on your computer, but an old program called Scribble works as a good processor if you can find it. For GIF…
#A1000 Emulator
Message #37243
Does anybody know if there is some kind of DOS emulator for an A1000 ? I've heard of the old "sidecar" but have also heard that the Atonce 286 will work. Is this true ? I'd like to turn my trusty 1000 into something a bit more useful. You cannot…
