Hi all – I have a young friend who just typed her whole book into ProWrite on her Amiga, but she came to realize she only has the driver for the generic 9-pin dot matrix printer. Her mom just bought a HP 660c for her own IBM, and they're hoping…
#163660 Field Rendering Message #163698
I believe the extra 38-45 lines go to the time called 'vertical retrace', in other words, the time it physically takes the beam to go back to the upper left. This would happen once per field, twice per frame. You can see this portion of the 525 lines by adjusting…

Unlimited Hydroplane Message #162405
Over the months I've been following 3DS, I've seen 'fit deformation' tutorials before, but now that I need one I can't recall them. What I *really* want is a model of an Unlimited Hydroplane, preferably of the (current) turbine era. Secondly, I wonder if anyone can direct me to a…

Hello, I'm looking for any and all .TTF (Windows TrueType Font) C/C++ code I can find. One friend told me he saw something in the Fred Fish disks. Does anyone here know of that? Which disk? Or might you have the code, or where might I find it electronically? Bri

Graphic Gems ISBN 0-12-286166-3. Mostly algorithm/code snippets collected by Andrew Glassner. There's now a GG2, 3 and 4… and all the source is here on CIS somewhere. Probably start in GRAPHSUP and look for GEMS1.ZIP. 🙂 Bri

Yup Gems says it all, in that the code is looking 1 & 2 pixels ahead for the binary decisions.. 🙂 I ran to it after your second post noted the reference. Bri

Windows plays AVI files. If you dont have Video For Windows, look to Microsoft. VFW11.??? is available here somewhere, probably in WINMM. For sure its here on CIS, and its free. Now the challenge: make it work right. Bri

Two things come to mind.. the special naming in the DEF file, then you must copy it to the \WINDOWS directory as a .SCR file, and restart Windows for it to be recognized. That naming in the DEF requirs "SCRNSAVE:" and looks like: DESCRIPTION 'SCRNSAVE : Your name here'
