Bob, I'll go out on a limb here and say ALL if not most CD drives and have an AUDIO out connector in the back of the drive. Why not just go and take a physical look at one of these beasts, it may answer any further questions. Scott

One thing to look at is the Sound Blaster Pro Mixer in Windows. Make sure the Volume slide controls are locked and both channels are set the same.

Funny, I'm listening to Nautilus 2-12 on my SB-16 card and using CDPLYR.EXE from DOS while typing this message using OZ! Kevin, I think that was a beta test media player problem. It does not work in Windows. Scott

Hugh, Everything I have read says NOT to load the CDROM.SYS driver high. MSCDEX can be loaded high with no ill effects. I realize WE all try to throw everything up in high memory…. but sometimes it just doesn't work. Scott
