to any benchmark user: a friend of mine wanted to learn programming on the amiga, said he didn't like the looks of c and asked me for a recommendation; i suggested bm modula 2. he has a few simple questions that i can't answer, i don't program modula, and maybe…
turns out my problems were due to my adjusting window/screen size to accomodate morerows. this was screwing up all of the graphics.
yes a gzz superbitmap guzzles memory and in large contiguous chunks too. i've only been fooling with this a few days and have scrammed the system more than usual. btw, i've been able to crash 'empire' by attempting to 'lassoe' (sp?) beyond the edges of the window; i imagine this…
bob, if it is not too forward or prohibited by your contract, what type of windowing and scrolling arangement did you use in EMPIRE?
scrolling superbitmaps
Message #6871
i'm using ScrollLayer() to move about on a SuperBitMap window. i'd like to attach some propgadgets to let the user control the scrolling. the intuition manual suggest using a GIMMEZEROZERO window and positioning gadgets on the edge of the window, i assume using the GRELRIGHT and GRELBOTTOM flags. i imagine…
thank you michael and steve. yes the problem is fixed, i've been ignoring it for months, if you can believe that!

this is actually to be addressed to charlie heath. could you forward? i just received Txed + with the ARP upgrade. i'm having a difficulty with arp, maybe you could help. the linkable arp.lib object modules were apparently compiled with Aztec 3.4 as my 3.6 linker gives me an error…

Message #96154
i just got my a2000 last night and i've been going through my working disks changing everything around and came up with a few questions i'm not clear on. maybe some of you have already gone through all of these little obscurities: 1) is the extra half meg on the…

as long as he can make these improvement while keeping the program tight and fast, all is well. to add too many extras would defeat txeds true novelty, and i might find myself reaching for z (gakk!!!).

if cheath is working on a new version, then one more improvement he might con- sider is allowing you to toggle between the topaz8 and topaz11 fonts. i use topaz11 for cli, but avoid it for txed as the menues dont handle it nicely, and the text doesn't recognize it…
i think requesters are brought up in their own Layer, which in turn has its own rastport, so window->rastport doesn't work (besides, i tried it 8^]). i'm still a little uncomfortable with structures and pointers nested ad infinitum, more practise will take care of that. anyway, what i think i…
just took a look at AListP; pretty nifty! I tried writing the header for a new list (with cheaths TXeD – gee, Intuition does exist – 'and what is the use of a book,' thought Alice, 'without pictures or conversation?'), but when I tried to open it ALP wouldn't recognize…
