Randy, The Patent Office really messed up the FM synthesis by issuing a patent for the methodology and not the implementation. (If my memory serves me right).. I think ALLEN ORGAN Co. was issued a patent on digital waveform storge for musical instruments too. (cute eh?) Rick Sterling

Try this circuit….. +——————————-> Amp Left In Amiga | Left Out Mono to Monitor 10k ohm | Amiga | Right Out Amp Right In It should provide enough isolation to maintain a decent stereo signal to the amplifier.

Heh heh. I always wondered why my implementation of B typically ran 10-15% faster than CIS's Vidtex. Must have been that 'ramdom bad block' generator they stuck in. Download times here are very dependent on system loading…. the worst case I experianced was a thruput of 7 bytes a second…

Right on! Open design will be the key to Amiga success, methinks. Otherwise, where's the advantage of spending twice as much for the Amiga instead of opting for the ST? (Excluding applications that need the 4096 palette and stereo sound, of course) Joe

Don Stoner is an Amateur radio operator. I beleive his proposal would allow unlicensed operation of a low power UHF radio station for digital communications. Something we 'HAMS' have been doing for years. Our 'packet' radio links allow us to transmit digital data across the country and have the data…

Jon, Until you get your AmigaBasic, be sure to use the FULL syntax on the renumber command with ABasic……I've never had a problem when using the full syntax. AmigaBasic is nice, but there are a few things I miss in the graphics area that ABasic did so well….(drawmode for instance).…

Larrys statement is true….all it takes is a connector ($4 – $6) to attach a MIDI device to the Amiga. The SERIAL port (read MIDI port) is more than capable of the 31.5 kbps required. best regards, Rick Sterling MTS MIDI Assoc.
