#A2000 MotherBoards
Message #133627
I have been thinking of buying a used A2000 and understand that there are several different versions of the motherboard, some that will allow the upgraded graphics chips and some that won't. How can I tell which is which ?
#2400 baud access
Message #119564
I finally broke down and brought a 2400 baud modem and now the question is, how do I access CIS at 2400 ? I live in the Washington D.C. area and use a CIS direct number currently.
Are there any HD controllers available for the ASDG minirack C ?
Last I saw ASDG was going to introduce their SDP RSN but it doesn't fit may needs or wallet. It's going to be the do it all, fastest thing arround with a price to match. I just want to stop shuffling disks.
I was afraid it might get to the point of try it and see if it works, that's why I thought that if I got the interface first and attached it to the bus I'd get good indication of if the bus would handle 2 devices. If the outside device…
#A1000 Hard Disks
Message #114179
I'd like to get some comments on what is available to me in the way of hard disks. I'm using an A1000 with a ASDG mini-rack-c and a 2 meg card. The ASDG rack terminates the bus so I need either an internal controller (if such a thing exists) or…
#A1000 Fan
Message #110076
The fan in my A1000 is getting noisier by the day and I hate the thought of taking it to my local dealer and paying some absurd price to replace it. Does anyone know of a source for them ?
You need to link with the floating pt library. Try 'ln file.o -lm -lc' and all will be OK. Page 7, para.4 of the 3.2 release doc explains.
So that's what I'm doing wrong, changing from floating pt to int isn't what I wanted to do but it does make sense (almost, I'll take it on faith that FP isn't accurate).
That's rather dissapointing news. I don't really enjoy the thought of finding each floating point compare and rewriting the code. I hoped that something with a name a fancy as IEEE Double Precision could compare 2 dollar values.
#Double != Double
Message #86610
I using Manc C vs 3.4 and trying to compare 2 double values. They start as ascii strings and are converted to doubles with double atof(). The decimal precision is 2 places (dollar values actually). When I compare 2 values that should be equal it doesn't work. Using printf I…
#Checkit menu items
Message #84847
How do you set up a menu item to toggle select. I would like the check mark and CHECKED flag to toggle with eack selection. If the menu is selected with the right button and the left is pressed it should toggle the flag and check mark.
#ActivateGadget()
Message #82696
I've been trying to use ActivateGadget with no success at all. I'm attempting to activate a string gadget in a requester. The requester contains 3 gads, 2 bool and the string. the bools are linked with the string the last in the chain. I've tried using the pointer to both…

2400 baud modems
Message #72073
I'm once again comtemplating the purchase of a 2400 baud modem to use with the Amiga and was hoping some current owners could give me some suggustions as to which ones are compatible, reliable, low noise and/or cheap. I keep reading about this or that new chip set that will…
