#5391 #Titling Help Please Message #5398
John, We carry an excellent overlay card from AVer Media, called the AVer PRO. It is now available with your choice of titling programs. Curtain Call for windows, or Deputy CG for DOS. Both are very good and the complete bundle, including overlay card, is $499. We have a special…
The Fast system offers another advantage for the videographer. It lets you do both real time linear digital effects (A/B rolls, title overlay, chroma key) and NLE. As for ease of set up, it can be a crap shoot. For any NLE product I recommend this minimum configuration. Pentium, 16…

Hi all, I was on the west coast visiting Fast, AVer media, the Montery Aquarium and many, many vineyards. I'm back and her to help. I assume that you want to add titles to video, so you will need an overlay card to superimpose them over vide, or to output…

Jorge, It sounds to me like you may want to consider the Video Machine Lite from Fast. It includes A/B roll edit control, digital mixing, title and graphic import, and much more. For under $2500, you would have a complete solution. Check out the Fast forum in Multivb on cserve.…
Tim, I agree with you 100%. We have been after Sima to improve the video quality of all their editors. For under a buck, they could improve the signal quality but they won't redesign any units. Oh well, thats what happens when you don't design or manufacture anything, just import…

Chris, You are correct on both accounts. I sell Fast products, and I learned about NLE using the MM Pro w.M-JPEG. I have researched other products, and I have visited some awe inspiring high end MAC based systems (Avid, Radius). For the money, I am very pleased with the Fast…

Re: feature connestor problems Fast has improved the software of the MM Pro, but has not documented it in the manual. Try installing without the features connector. I don't know why, but 90% of users don't need it, and it slows down and/or complicates set up if you use it.

Tim, You have to put your Joe consumer hat on when evaluating these type of products. What people want is to get rid of the crap footage – out of focus, feet, lens caps, etc. Frame accuracy isn't as important if the unit is easy to set up, use and…
