PPP 1.30
Message #192557
>How? I have this comunnicating with a service provider already. But hot to >get to it through CIS? GO PPP while online for more info OR check out the other threads here about how to do it. -Andre Regards, Andre Lackmann On AutoPilot and still outta control
Hi, I think thats the trick to the Internet, trying to learn whats what. Once you have AmiTCP & PPP setup (not TOO hard) you just run Amosaic on top of that… All pretty simple. You can always post a question here if you need to. -Andre
Hi Steve, Using PPPv1.23 i had no luck at all.. As soon as I upgraded to PPP v1.30, things worked like a dream, no problems at all. The docs in v1.30 step you through the setup, all you'll need are the name server IP addresses (GO PPP for more info).…
Set up AmiTCP 4.0Demo (or preferably, buy the package).. Get PPP1.30 (I'm not sure if it is in the libs, if its not I'll upload it), AMosaic v1.2 plus any other nifty things you might like to use, FTP, telnet, gopher, IRC and off you go. A PPP connection such…

Does anyone know who got the prototype(s) A3000+?? I assume Haynie has one, anyone else? Gotta be a bit of a dream machine. You wouldn't happen to know the specs of it do you Dale? -Andre
Hi Hank, I guess the only way to put aside your fears would be to mail the author direct, as he would be able to answer your technical questions (which I cannot unfortunately). If you need his address, I can email it to you. -Andre
Hi Hank, Thats pretty much as good as your going to get for a taste of MagicWB 2.0. The author decided to release it as such, due to large amounts of people using the previous demo package asis, and not bothering registering for the extra nice bits 8). If you…

Hi (all), Ok, well I did get a reply from Jack at his new address (jprad@panix.com) so I guess he is back in business. He seems to expect to have a new version of Terminus ready soon (2.0e maintenance release) but did not specify a date. RIP is still slated…

Message #178787
Hi Leslie, Whats wrong with sending an Internet message from your CompuServe account?? (its real easy if your using AP) Just leave a message if you need help with this. -Andre
Hi Michael, For those trying to reach Jack Radigan, his new email address seems to be: jprad@panix.com Please don't email him unless you have to, I'm sure he has more than enough junk mail to read. (Sorry Michael, I guess this one wasn't really to you, I just happened to…
Hi Tom, Yeah, that is in Australian dollars. It only gets us email and newsgroups of course, but you can't expect much more for a BBS. On the DLG front, yep, it is good that there is a new developer. Things had gone a little stagnant for a while on…
Hi Michael, Yes it is a GUI builder, but all programs that use it, can be configured to the Users taste (e.g I have some nifty backdrops on the listviews in DASModPlayer). So a user can make a program look how s(he) likes, not necessarily as the programmer wants. -Andre
Hi, Thanks to all who helped me out on the MultiSyncII question. Unfortunately, by the time I spoke to the guy, it had been sold. Thanks again for your help. -Andre
Well, I have a price of AUD$295, which would work out to be almost US$400, so its pretty good. Usually, you pay about 600-700 for a MultiSync down here. -Andre PS> thanks for your help.

Hi Jim, I was wondering if you had a fact/info sheet available for inclusion in the Amiga Report Online Magazine?? The magazine itself covers all things Amiga, and I'm sure it could only be (further!) exposure for yourself and your company. Thanks again! Andre Lackmann

Well, the Amiga *did* lead the way really… RIP is really just a refinement of the SkyPix protocol, which was very nice, but I only had a 2400bps modem then, so made the downloading of all the brushes etc a bit hard. Also, it used the Amiga IFF Brushes, which…

Hi Luca, Terminus is shareware, it is available in the Libraries here, not sure of the name tho'. Regards, Andre
Hi Luca, The best terminal program for the Amiga would have to be Terminus IMHO. There are various others, but thsats the one I like. It does treat ANSI correctly. Regards, Andre
It depends on the tracker program.. I don't think Protracker will change the length, why would you want to? (Unless you are NOT doing a 4/4 time piece) Try MED for pattern length changing, but I like PT much better

Hi Trent, The Republican movement here in Australia is quite strong. Moving between 50-60% for a split from the monarchy. Basically, the question is, what has the monarchy ever done for us except send us to war? 😎 Sure there is a lot of sentimentality for the monarchy, but with…

Hi Nick, I asked MicroBotics about that and they replied with some very non-specific terms. e.g We're working on a lot of things and the CD32 is only one of our markets.. So, that sounds intresting!! Regards, Andre
