Tony, Readysoft wasn't sued out of business because Apple never limited their license on the ROM chips or OS to Apple computers only. What defines an "Amiga"…Commodore defines it. They make it, and only they make it. They can license the chips and/or OS for use only in machines manufactured by Commodore. Yes, it's illegal to make a device whose only use is an illegal use. Thus, making a laptop minus the chips and OS would be illegal…because the only way you could use it would be via an illegal act. Don
