I completely agree with you. This kind of hot air economics gives the impression that a company is doing better than it actually is. The stock markets jump up and down, the companies get weaker, more people are out of work so the economy is weaker, and the CEO's laugh all the way to the bank. I think a CEO's salery should be linked directly to their companies LONG RANGE performance with increase in stock prices being only one element.
