Why without going to the manuals? On a system as complex and powerful as the Amiga the manuals are your most important possesion. If you installed the release version of 2.04 using the 2.04 Install disk and clicking on the InstallHD icon, then all is as it should be. 1.3 and 2.04 will both get exactly what they need to operate correctly. If all you did was run the UpdateWB icon, then you should probably update the RDBs as well. The way to do this is as follows. 1) Find and double click on the HDToolbox Icon. 2) Select the drive that corresponds to your system partition. 3) Select the Partition Drive gadget. 4) Look at the Partition Device Name gadget. If it does not say WB_2.x, then you selected the wrong drive in step 2. If this is the case then click the Cancel gadget and return to step 2. 5) If you have the correct drive, select the Advanced Options gadget. 6) Select the Add/Update File Systems gadget. 7) Select the entry in the list window the has a File System Name of 'Fast File System' 8) If the version number is 2 then you do not need to change anything Just select the Cancel gadget until you can exit HDToolbox. 9) If the version number is anything else, then select the Update File System gadget. 10) Change the version number to 2 and select the OK gadget. 11) The size of the FileSystem should be 22412, If it is not then update the file system again except this time put your 2.04 Install Disk into df0: and change the path on the filename to DF0:l/FastFileSystem and then select OK. 12) Select OK on the FS maintainance window. 13) Select OK on the Partitioning window 14) Select Save Changes to Drive on the main HDToolbox window. 15) Select Exit. From this time on, you will be using the correct FileSystem no matter the OS you booted to. Dean DKB Software
