Denny, Thanks for such a thoughtful reply, but I'm still not sure what to do. What were the headaches that you mentioned? Do the add-ons overcook the 1000? Would some kind of power boost prevent that? Right now I do have a hard drive and six megs in my 1000. I'm a writer. I use Wordperfect about eight hours a day, so I would love to have a better display. I use ProPage a few days each month, and the increased speed would be terrific. I just don't forsee the need for an extra slot. Am I missing something? Jeff – via Whap!
