I'm not familiar with FutureSound 500. I've had Perfect Sound 3.0 for a
while. I like PS 3.0 because it uses software level control, which
eliminates level adjusting potentiometers – a large source of noise.
The software works well, although the on-screen gadgetry is a bit cryptic.
I use it only occasionally, and always end up referring to the manual for
button descriptions. (I'm a rev or two behind on the software, so it may
have changed some in the meantime.)
