I thought Apple just announced these machines a month ago, but the DSP
was announced before that. I heard they also have custom co-processors to
take the load off the main CPU, sounds familiar. The Atari Falcon 030 also
has a DSP in it.
I think the change in Commodore is partly due to a change in CBM
personnel. Like the head of the engineering department for one. They have
to push the devolpment of the new high & low end chipsets as fast as
possible, along with DSP.
