Michele touched on the subject briefly in her "3D Design and Presentation" book and and so did Gregory in his "Desktop Computer Animation" book but I'm still looking for more… >> 3DS dealers getting a lot of heat on the forum I _have_ been listening and wow… a lot of heat is probably an understatement. I've heard some good arguments from both sides and I have to agree that some dealers don't care or don't know how to handle their 3DS customers. I have used Autocad for years and have relied very little on my dealer.. no fault of his, I simply was able to work thru the problems I had without too much difficulty. Understand also that Autocad has been around for years, over many releases, and a user could pick up the new features slowly. 3DS is an order of magnitude more difficult, has been in existence a relatively short time and many of the users are trying to make a living($) using it. This raises the level of anxiety….. You and Greg and other dealers who participate in this forum are _top notch_ _first rate_ and we users are thankful. My answer to this is that Autodesk should require that all 3DS dealers participate actively in this forum…. to better understand their product and to hear what their customers have to say. >> not too hard of a sale I hope the newsletter makes you lots of money…SoftVTR looks very tempting…..<g> Nick
