Before you make the jump you need to think about the cost of producing the
one-offs yourself (universities do think of these things don't they <g>). It
may well be cheaper for you to have a tape produced then have someone else
produce the one-off for you. It saves you the cost of some expensive equipment
and training.
Every CD replicator I know of will accept a one-off as a premaster. The master
can not be a one-off disc as the use of a master is another type of animal,
usually made of glass.
