Scott, I think the "block used twice" indicates that some program has
gotten into a loop on the disk, but I'm not sure because I've never found
a good explanation. ANyway, there are several solutions.
First: Have you discovered HDToolBox? It is in the TOOLS directory of my
workbench. I've found it to be very helpful and reliable.
Second: there are two commercial packages of disk utilities that might
help – Quarterback Tools and AmiBack Tools. Both are good, I hear. I
don't own either.
Third: there is a program here in AmigaUser libraries called FIXDISK that
might clear up the "used twice" problem for you. You can easily locate it
with cross-library searching. At any library prompt, type BRO FIX*.*, and
that ought to bring it up. I think the CIS name for it is FIXDSK.LZH, but
I'm not certain about the last part of the name.
