FWIW, your production and replication prices strike me as very reasonable–lower than most, even, perhaps, though Sony is presently offering a one-time deal that's prob a loss leader. It's the search and retrieval software that's the problem. I just got the whole inf. kit from Nimbus–they don't charge royalties, which is sensible, but they do charge a whopping $10 K PER APP, meaning that if I want to do five books, I'm looking at $50K. No way. Their market is clearly internal major-corp use, and primarily database over text. They need to figure out there are other markets out there, and money to be made in them by all of us together if we work together. End of speech. I'll call, perhaps Friday, my one day off this week.
