Larry, Regarding someone coming up with a toaster to go in the PC.. . I can understand your hope. I started on PC's 5 years ago. I needed to do mult multimedia and wanted good desktop publishing, so I got into Macs. I am a self-confessed Mac fanatic now. I hoped for great Mac video products, and have done a little investing. I've got the Truevision NuVista+ card, and at $3,000, it's a far cry from a Toaster. The Video Explorer is available, it's got great digital video effects and comes with a great software combo, for $9,000.00. The reason the Video Explorer costs so much, is it is having to put all that video technology on a card that fits into the Mac–to make up for the Mac's lack of video capability… It's like having to put an entire new computer system inside the Mac. Even if I combined the above products, I still would only have 50% of what an Amiga/Toaster combo can do. We have All models of DOS machines, Macs, Sun SparcStations, IBM RISC, and o others. Why? Because they're the right tools for the job. Sure, I could wait for a Video Toaster lookalike to go in my PC or Mac and spend over $10,000, or– I can get an excellent tool right now, and use up a little more desk space. I'm putting my Mac and PC biases aside and getting the Toaster. I think you'll be waiting a long time for a PC solution that provides what the toaster can. Bob Lane Logicon RDA Los Angeles
