You simply drop the program into the WBStartup directory and it runs. Using the same thought process (one of the programs had altered or changed some files) I tried booting from a virgin Workbench disk…still no go. I've just noticed that MagicMenu IS working on my DirectoryOpus screen. However, Workbench and any other program doesn't recognize it. This has got me completely perplexed.
