#WOW…What'sa Raptor?
OK, now that I've gotten my new Edit Suite/Office place open, and can
come back Online to catch up on all the New-Tek gossip I find out
that I've missed the biggest Toaster News of the: 1) Year 2) Decade
3) Past couple-o-days (Pick one).
Can someone PLEASE post a spec list for this "RAPTOR" thing?
How much?
How big?
Rackmount ? (Oh… Pretty Please…)
Lightwave only, or will I be able to blister some other developers code
too?
Unix, Full Windows NT, bare bones NT, or custom code? System Overhead?
Upgrad-ability? Can I buy a "Black-Box" and just keep adding processor
cards untill I can cook dinner on my electric meter?
Display options ? (It won't bother me one whit if you wanted to throw in a
nice Real-time, Head Mounted, Proximity sensing, Stereo Display and its
attendant Solid rendering, Spline/Nurb/Patch/Mesh modeling utility and
Data input glove. Realy, I won't mind in the least. 😉 ).
Will I be able to make off-handed comments to users of all other
graphics platforms about "Once having to use under-powered equipment,
just like you…" ?
Well I'd better get back to the real world now… You Know… The
one where Mac and IBM users say "You use a What?" and C= stock trades
for about $2 a pop plus change… sigh… (Can you tell that I
talked to my broker today…? )
Please, someone tell me this thing's for real and not some sick
joke… I could use a little encouragement…
