Regarding the demand for minerals and fossils… It had been a long time
since I'd seen the price of minerals and fossils. I bought a few items as a
kid, but recently I saw someone selling copper and silver mine specimens…
many were $50-100, some even more. And of course we all know the price of
fossils particularly dinos have gone through the roof. In a day when the
government will sell trees for a couple dollars, you'd think they'd be
interested in at least *charging* to allow people to collect on public
lands. Would you pay a buck a pound?
