Ted, >>A jumpy mouse can be a sign of low memory, how much conventional ram do you have when you type mem from the C:> prompt? I have 655360 bytes of conventional RAM. >>Funny it only jumps in the lofter, though. Does it always jump, or just once in a while? It ALWAYS jumps in any active viewport, (except the shape VP) of the 3D Lofter ONLY. Yes, that's peculiar alright. I seem to have a real nack for running into unusual problems. Do you think there could be a glitch in the software? In the Materials editor, is it possible to create a new material from one that already exists, and save it with another name so that both materials in that library can be used? I don't see a "SAVE MATERIAL" command, and giving the "current material" a new name just wipes out he original material. I can save a library, but the original material will change to the new material in that library. So far, the documentation, as well as "Inside 3D Studio" have been unable to clarify this for me. Am I overlooking something? Take care, Tim
