<<until it is put into the hands of a much larger group of producers.>> If it weren't for the communications from ordinary people on CIS, I'd never log on. AP wire? Encyclopedia? Weather reports? Great. But it's the specialized and tailored interpersonal communications that has kept me visiting daily for years and years. I want to see the same participatory video programming. Something that dynamically changes due to subscriber contribution. Nearly all of the people touched by video today do absolutely nothing but observe. I say, twist your own knobs. A friend of mine has 2 kids who love this PBS show starring Barney. They tape every program and 'favorites' are retained and watched over and over until the kids are quoting it verbatim. Using a cheap camcorder, Terry inserted creative messages from mommy and daddy into the taped programs. Everything from how to brush your teeth; to picking up your dirty clothes; to turning off the light when you leave the bathroom are demonstrated and reinforced. Terry doesn't know what the 'white balance' control on his camera is for. And doesn't care.
