"Don't forget that a lot of those "dreamers" were just plain nuts, crackpots
and a hundred other things."
I'm one of those dreamers…
"I'm all for imagination, but some schemes are just unworkable to begin with –
and the idea of Amiga machine owners somehow influencing the liquidation
process is one of them."
I'm also somewhat of a realist, and agree with this.
"Commodore fans had a chance to show their devotion at a much earlier point in
time by purchasing new computers. Large numbers of them didn't and the company
collapsed."
Not so sure about this one. The cause of a lack of sales is more the Microsoft
dominance than ANYTHING else. (And the way that MS became dominant.)
"It's kind of late in the game for a group without even a hint of legal
standing to somehow believe they could influence the process. There'd be a
better chance of turning a pumpkin into a coach. <G>"
I don't think I'd go so far as to say that. After all, I've seen some things
in my liftime that are even wierder than changing a pumkin into a coach.
