Hi Joseph, I use the new USRobotics Courier 28.8 v.34 Everything Data/Fax and in the beginning had some problems with it not working right. Hanging up the system was the biggest quirk I encountered, but after working with my string making adjustments here and there, it now performs flawlessly or so it appears. I also have an Intel 14400 Data/Fax and in this case it always worked with no problems encountered in any way shape or fashion. Problem here is that it's just getting old and the new stuff is passing it by rapidly. I still keep it installed if for nothing else a reliable backup or if I need to use both modems simutaneously. Before upgrading to the newest Courier, I had used an USR HST 14400 with never a problem that comes to mind even when using it in DTS. It just didn't have fax capabilities which in this day and age makes it passe'. Not much info here I suppose, but where one needs to contact the outside world and can't for some reason or the other because of modems and incompatibilities makes life miserable.
