Charles: >My problem is I am brand new to the AG 1970 and can't figure out how to output the hi-fi stereo and select linear audio input. The user's manual is fine if you want to know how to set the clock, but worthless if you want to know any of this technical stuff.< See if I can give you a hand on this (I don't have a 1970–nertz!<g>– but I've used "mixing" edit VCRs before)… Try setting your audio output to hi-fi, then select audio dub (which dubs ONLY the linear track). When you play your tape to mix audio, you SHOULD be able to dub over the old linear track that way. When you play back your tape to hear the new audio, make sure your VCR's set to linear audio ONLY (you may have already done it, and just aren't hearing it because you're playing back in hi-fi). Hope this helps (and isn't too confusing <g>), Tim Liebe
