That's very helpful info to me. > you can only trigger the MX-1 and nothing else Moe asked one of the FutureVideo people this when they told me the V-Station would be a good solution if I wanted a PC based edit controller to use with the MX-1. At the time Moe only knew of the GPI not a cutomized interface that you long for. I'm not sure I'd gain anything over Video Director if the V-Station cannot talk to the MX-1. Also I'd need to change recorddecks and this doesn't seem to be a compelling reason to me. > As source decks I use Sony EVS 7000 and EVS 3000. As Record deck I use a > Panasonic 1970. Today I'd by the 7000 and 1970 just like you have. How do you like them. Would the Sony 1000 be as good as the 1970 or not? For simple a/b roll and maybe as a recording deck would a Sony Hi8 100 get the job done or would it's lack of RCTC be a bad deal? However what I'm thinking is, how about 7000 as source for RCTC then 100 as record. Gives a Hi8 master. Then put the master into the 7000 and audio dup with the PCM hifi stereo track. Now copy this to S-VHS or VHS for distribution. Thanks. -jts
