Has anyone managed to use a Windows system palette (i.e containing the 20 windows reservered colours, 10 at start, 10 at the end, plus the rest defined by you probably as a generic poster palette) as a 3d studio custom palette (.col) This would be relevent to anyone trying to develop multi-media type applications that run under Windows and use and 8-bit display card and want to display flics overlayed on bitmap images. I am confused by how 3d studio uses these .col files and hence can't seem to sort out his problem. If anyone can help I would be very greatful, I'm sure there must be loads of you out there who have done this already. Cheers! JON.U
