Josh: Just before I logged on, I tested Brian's suggestion, and it didn't work, so I composed a message to him, and it was sent before I saw your message. What puzzles me is that I've been using Chaos through Windows all along, and this problem suddenly appeared out of nowhere. I had an earlier problem that was solved through changing an ERRORLEVEL setting in CHAOS.BAT, but then this new one appeared. I can still run it in DOS, but I'd sooner just double-click on the Windows icon. I think I saw a message somewhere that some other software company had picked up the rights to Chaos, and was contemplating a Windows version, but that may just be unfounded rumor. Like you, I wish Adesk hadn't discontinued it. Don
