Carl; Since I am not knowledgeable about the PC and MAC, I can't comment much on the machines and software that you are using. The person that told you that the Video Toaster "does not do a very good job producing video." just plain does not know what (s)he is talking about. The VT is not magic and will not fix a bad video installation. Video signal processing is still a critical business and anything in the loop that does not properly handle the signal will result in poor performance. The massive use of the VT in professional video production clearly argues for the VT's ability to produce good quality video. If you want to "go to tape" the VT is probably an important addition to your processing suite… it will also probably be the cheapest component (other than TBCs maybe) if you wish to do professional quality work. I believe that the Amiga image processing software available is all but unmatched on any other platform. Others are undoubtedly more qualified to talk on that subject than am I. -bill
