Michael, I would not be too happy if PageStream prevented me from doing something that I would like to be able to do (and which PageStream could cope with), just because a PostScript printer would not be able to cope – when I don't use a PostScript printer for output. The situation I'm in is that I need to construct a pair of overlapping irregular pentagons given a mathematical specification for each (i.e. the distance of each vertex from the origin, the vertexes being at multiples of 72 degree angles). It's vital that the final output shows BOTH pentagons in full, even though they overlap. Plus, the pentagons need to be visibly distinguishable. Constructing a single pair of such pentagons by hand is not too much bother. However, I would much prefer to be able to automate the process. Thinking more about this issue after I posted my message, I realised that if PageStream had AREXX, I could add the cross-hatching myself via an AREXX program, and the limitation of not being able to superimpose two bitmaps would be circumvented.
