John- Are you referring to something aclled DISA? This allows you to dial into, let's say, your office PBX, pick up a dial tone and dial out. The call is effectively being made from the remote office location and is billed to the office. For example, you make a local call to the PBX and dial a long distance number from the office line, thereby incurring only a local charge without third party or other operator assistance charges. If this is not what you are trying to say, then I don't understand at all what you are getting at. As for a "device" that would allow this, I don't know. It's not really a desirable feature anymore, for obvious security reasons. Bob N. Read action !reply Enter reply. (/EXIT when done) Yes, this is what I want. The first call is I can see the secutirrity problems, but if such a "device" (read: a little box I can buy, install here, jumpering one line to another) exists, maybe it would have a "enter secutiryrity code" feature, too. It just sounds like one of those Radio Electronics – type projects, it would be easy to do with a very little electronics. /post Message # 173094 posted
